I haven't seen you around in quite a while! .. You're the guy who was studying to be a mortician, right? ;P How's that working out?

And thank you. x)

Thank you for all the great comments on my birdies! Yes, shorebirds can be difficult to distinguish, esp. gulls and peeps (sandpiper types). I've been pretty lucky to approach a number of birds (esp. the little guys) for nice shots, still have a long way to go for the level of detail and interest that I'd like to achieve. I really, really appreciate all the great comments!!!

Thanks for the GREAT comment on my Cooper's/Sharp-Shinned Hawk shot. I can't be certain myself, but I was lucky enough to get VERY close. All other features being equal, the reason I chose Cooper's was due to it's size, it seemed closer to 20" than 15/16". I know they are very similar and Sharpies ARE cooler since they are more shy, rare to see. I appreciate the pointers, keep 'em coming!

Of course. Excellent shot btw. I've gotten two or three, and none of them that good. :)
I may not be able to tell two shorebirds apart, but I've spent a lot of time (and gotten a lot of good tips) on Cooper/Sharpie ID.
